The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC)
is the agency responsible for the evaluation of professional journalism and mass communications programs in colleges and universities. There are 119 schools accredited by ACEJMC.

Spring Council meeting in D.C.

The annual spring Accrediting Council meeting will be May 3 and 4 at the Freedom Forum’s new headquarters in Washington, D.C., on The Wharf. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3. Accreditation decisions for 27 schools will be made Friday. See schools to be discussed.

The Council spring business meeting will be Saturday, May 4, starting at 8:30 a.m. It is expected to end no later than 2 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to book lodging in D.C. as soon as possible. Here are a few hotels near the Freedom Forum: Canopy by Hilton, Hyatt House, CitizenM, Riggs.
